There was no fence differentiating the buffer and the core area. Till 2012. However, that does not deter the tigers to roam around the buffer territories. Still, it gave the idea of core, and the villagers got some what warned. Forest guards started petroling regularly.
No casualty after 2012 April, till 2016 December.
After second year into the project, I was wondering why livelihood finance was chosen to be implemented here. Looking from hindsight however, it also gave us confidence that it at a difficult place like Bandhavgarh, it can be anywhere.
