An Oikocredit partner since 2018, it serves women from low-income households in the states of Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand.<br \/><br \/>The company is headquartered in Rourkela, a city in the northern part of the state of Odisha. It was converted into an NBFC in 2009. In 2013 it secured an NBFC-MFI licence from the Reserve Bank of India.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>SFPL offers microfinance loans under both joint liability and self-help group models for income generation. It also offers loans under the Water and Sanitation Program.<br \/><br \/>In 2017 SFPL received an IFI Award, as Microfinance organization of the Year 2017 (in the &#8216;Small &amp; Medium&#8217; category) at the Inclusive Finance India Summit in New Delhi.
